Teaching
Professor Borea has a rich and diverse teaching background that spans multiple countries and cultures. With degrees in both Latin and English, she honed her skills as an educator while teaching students at an elite boarding school in Italy for several years. Her passion for language and education ultimately led her to the United States, where she became an assistant professor at Catholic University in Washington, DC, sharing her expertise in language and inspiring a new generation of students in the US. After retiring from the university, Maddalena began teaching privately and hosting cultural trips to Italy, which she continues to this day.
Maddalena is available to teach individual and group lessons, to both young and adult learners of Italian at Georgetown visitation on Sunday mornings or afternoons, or by Zoom.
The first cohort of in-person lessons begins the first Sunday of January and finishes at the end of March.
The second cohort will begin the first Sunday of April and finish at the end of June.
The final annual cohort spans from first Sunday in September to December.
